Brennan's wish to go to Walt Disney World® Resort

Brennan is five years old and has Leukemia. He has a lot of interests like Transformers, Jurassic World, bugs, cars (especially Lightning McQueen), planes and trains. His wish was to go to Walt Disney World® Resort.

To reveal that Brennan's wish would come true, wish granters surprised him at his family's local Tim Hortons who raised enough money to adopt Brennan's wish. Brennan had a fever that day, so the surprise really cheered him up and helped take his mind off feeling sick.

A few weeks later, Brennan and his family flew to Orlando for the experience of a lifetime. They stayed at Give Kids the World Village. "The people were incredibly friendly, the amenities were fantastic, and it was just so warm and inviting. When we had to take a couple days off so he could rest, the resort still had fun things to do so he didn't feel like he was missing out," said Brennan's mom.

Brennan went on every train ride he saw and found some great toys at Disney that he'd never seen at home. He met his favourite Transformer, Bumblebee, pet a real sloth at a petting zoo, and went on tons of rides. There were so many things that made his day during the trip that he told his mom, "This is the best year ever!"

It meant so much to Brennan's family to see him filled with so much joy. His mom told us:

"I'm not sure that 'thank you' is enough for everything that you guys have done for us. Starting out on the trip was very emotional for me, as it brought back a lot of memories from Brennan's days in treatment. We've come so far, it was surreal to think we had finally made it to the end of the journey and we are now ending this chapter of his life. I marked this trip as the start of our new journey, post-cancer. This trip gave us back that hope. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

Thank you to Give Kids the World, Walt Disney World® Resort, Sony and TuGo for helping to make Brennan's wish possible.

Special thank you to Tim Hortons in Cornwall for adopting Brennan's wish!
