Daijah's wish to go to Vancouver

Daijah is a 15-year-old girl suffering from Sickle Cell. Daijah loves dancing, the great outdoors and spending time with her family. Daijah wished to go visit Vancouver with her family.

To reveal Daijah's wish, wish granters invited her to the Bayshore Mall. While we sat in the food court discussing her wish options a crowd of people started dancing all around. We had invited the dance group from Pointe of Dance to come do a flash-mob to reveal her wish. They had choreographed a special dance just for Daijah at the end they rolled out a banner that said, "Daijah your wish will come true, you are going to Vancouver!" The crowd went wild and Daijah and her mom had tears in their eyes.

To top the wish experience we invited Daijah to be our Rope for Hope wish child. Daijah rappelled 14-storeys and when she reached the ground we presented her the Big Blue wish box.

In June, Daijah's wish came true. She was picked up in a white stretch limousine and escorted to the Ottawa airport where her adventure was awaiting. During her week long trip, Daijah and her family went to Grouse Mountain, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Horseback riding and so much more!

Thank you to Tysen's Mission to a Million for adopting Daijah's wish!
