Griffin's wish to have an outdoor adventure

Griffin, 11, Cerebral Palsy, loves the great outdoors and outer space! He and his family have fond memories of visiting his grandmother's cottage, and originally Griffin had hoped to visit the cottage as his wish. However, because Griffin's health challenges have limited his ability to travel and the family cottage is not wheelchair accessible, we worked closely with Château Montebello to bring the same family togetherness and outdoor fun to Griffin.

In August 2015 together with an amazing sponsors, wish granters threw a massive out of this world space-themed party and barbecue with 60 of his closest friends and family. The room was perfectly decorated, the cake was absolutely delicious and there was also a lot of really fun activities.

There were even some special guests who really excited all of the kids – Stormtroopers! They were great sports on this day and chose not to fight against the Rebellion, but rather to have some fun (and some delicious burgers) with Griffin and his friends.

There was an extra surprise in the form of a butterfly release. Everyone received a butterfly and made their own wishes before releasing.

After some delicious food, face painting and spaceship decorating, it was time to party and boy-oh-boy did Griffin and his friends know how to have a good time!

Griffins wish continued with a full week stay at the Fairmont Chateau Montebello resort. The family had a wonderful time!
