Jacob's wish to be a photographer

Jacob, 17, Crohn's/Colitis, got his wish to be a professional photographer.

His wish was granted in Toronto with a VIP experience at Sony Canada headquarters! Spending the day as Sony’s CEO, he supervised a photoshoot, presented an employee of twenty-five years with a letter of recognition, and got special access to the Sony store room – employees only!

Jacob got to work with some fantastic equipment used by professionals in the field, and the Sony team was really impressed with his knowledge of electronics. He also experienced the benefit of a personal photography lesson, learning about different lenses and getting tips on taking photos like a pro!

Just when he thought the day was coming to an end, our amazing friends at Sony surprised Jacob and his family with yet another VIP experience - tickets to the Pokemon: Symphonic Evolutions Show at the Sony Centre that evening. The family enjoyed the show from incredible seats and even received a fabulous backstage tour from the conductor. Jacob was grinning from ear-to-ear during the tour, as it was clear Sony had made him feel extremely special.

To top off this phenomenal wish experience, Sony went one step further and provided Jacob with his dream camera, a Sony a7rII, along with a pro lens! Jacob is one of the first people in Canada to receive this top quality equipment! He is well on his way to realizing his photography dreams. Huge thanks to Sony, Make-A-Wish Toronto and Central Ontario and Make-A-Wish Canada for taking great care of Jacob and his family on their wish trip! Thanks also to Nick Kelsh and Rochelle Hepworth from www.howtophotographyourlife.com who gave Jacob some lessons on how to capture amazing shots!
