Leah's Disney World wish #Granted

Leah is 7-years-old living with cancer. She’s a sweet girl full of energy who loves to watch movies, read books, play with toys, dance, sing and listen to music.

To the family's surprise, Leah's wish was revealed at a Pita Pit gathering in Kingston. Everyone took part in announcing to Leah that her wish will be granted in November.  Leah was mesmerized by Paul Langlois from The Tragically Hip who attended this special wish reveal and serenaded her with one her favourite songs.

On November 18, 2019 Leah and her family arrived at the Toronto airport and were greeted by wonderful WestJet representatives that treated her like royalty. She was on a plane to beautiful Orlando for a week of all the Disney characters, rides and fun at Disney World!

Leah and her family had a wonderful time at Disney World!  “Leah's favourite moments from the Wish trip definitely included seeing and getting many big hugs from all the characters that she invites into her daily life.  As you know Leah loves movies and shows so this was certainly a big deal. Another highlight included the rides at both the parks and GKTW - she is fearless. She went on anything and everything that she was able to.  Slinky Dog Dash was one she wanted again and again.  And I have to include that she was not disappointed at all in the steady week long diet of 3 of her favourite foods - popcorn, ice cream and pizza!! Give Kids the World was so amazing and we were sure to stay back and enjoy our time there as well.  She (well really all of us) were non stop smiles all week long.  Thank you so much for making her wish come true. It was truly magical and the memories will last forever!!.” – Leah’s family

Thank you Give Kids the World, Disney World, WestJet, TuGo Insurance, Sony for helping make her wish come true.  Special thank you to Pita Pit for adopting Leah’s wish.
