Thomas' wish to go on a Disney Cruise Line Cruise!

Thomas is a three-year-old boy suffering from severe Spina Bifida. His one true wish was to go on Mickey's big boat!

His wish was adopted by Tysen's Mission to a Million who revealed Thomas' wish at the Make-A-Wish Gala. There were dozens of people wearing sailor hats as the MC announced the big news.

The magic began as the big stretched limousine arrive and whisked Thomas and his family the Ottawa airport! Upon their arrival, they were greeted by an awesome WestJet representative and treated as VIP. He even got to meet the pilot! They arrived in Orlando, Florida and rested for the night while they awaited the big boat!

Thomas was so excited he couldn't sit still. "The boat! Mickey's boat!" he screamed upon arrival. They entered the terminal to find Mickey Mouse waiting to greet them and all the other passengers. Thomas hugged him and told him he was happy to be going on his boat.

Thomas was treated like a king while on the ship. He got autographs from all his favourite characters, tried to wake up the Muppet's by knocking on their stateroom door, got kisses from all the princess and danced the night away as a pirate. He loved the shows and had the best seat in the house! The cast interacted with him at every show!

His sisters Sophia and Violette received a summons to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique where their fairy godmother magically turned them into Princesses. They even got a special invite to the Princess coronation ceremony where Prince Charming met them on the grand staircase and walked them down while Cinderella announced to crowd the newest Disney Princesses! That was the girls favourite part - to be a princess for a day!

The family loved the private island Castaway Cay too. They played, swam, and snorkeled in the crystal aqua waters and built sandcastles on the beach. The smile on Thomas face never left, he was even smiling in his sleep!

During their down time, Thomas loved to sit out on the balcony and try to find Nemo and his friends in the water as they sailed from island to island. Mom had never seen Thomas eat so much! His favourite was the mickey waffle.

Upon their departure, Thomas gave Mickey Mouse a big hug goodbye, and said, "I'll be back Mickey, wait for me to come back!"

"What can I say, Make-A-Wish of Eastern Ontario made Thomas' wish come true! It was truly wonderful to see his smile and the twinkle of Disney Magic in his eye. It's true what they say, 'with love and trust and a little bit of pixie dust, dreams really do come true!' It was so nice to just unplug for a while, no calls from CHEO or therapists, government funding issues etc. To just laugh, smile and enjoy the special magic of Disney as a family. Thank you to Tysen's Mission to a Million and everyone else who made Thomas' wish come true!"
